De-shelled pressing-leaching technology is the key point of sunflower oil production line which avoids the negative impact of over-refining, high temperature, and acid and alkali effects on oils, so that the nutrients in the oil can be well preserved. For example, the content of vitamin E in de-shelled squeezed sunflower oil is 75.5mg/100g.
Sunflower Oil Production Line
The oil is extracted directly from the sunflower seeds by a screw type oil press machine. Sunflower seeds are cold-pressed (or hot pressed) at a certain temperatures, and the protein-rich cake that remains after the seeds are processed into oil is used as animal feed, retaining 99% of the nutrients in sunflower oil without the use of chemical solvents.

How is Sunflower Oil Processed?
Seed De-hulling. This is done by crushing and removing the seeds’ shells before oil extraction to ensure the sunflower oil is of high quality. The crushed mixture is then winnowed to separate the hulls from kernels. This process is optional in case of some hard thin-hulled sunflower seeds in order to avoid oil loss.
Sunflower oil contains phosphatides like other oils 0.5% to 1.5% based species and variety of the seed. This will be removed through the standard degumming process by addition 2% water and 1kg to 1.5Kg of food-grade phosphoric acid to the oil at 60°C and allowing to mix for 20 minutes and then by separating through the centrifugal separators.
